[Standard British & Cockney Workshop]
In this 4-hour workshop, students will learn both the Standard British and Cockney dialects--two of the most commonly-encountered affectations in theatre, film, TV, and voiceover--as well as the background and cultural significance of each. Students will then experience real-life application in the form of scene work, preparing and performing excerpts from the musical Me and My Girl (which incorporates both dialects) with Natalie observing as if she were a dialect coach working with actors on their first day of rehearsal for a full-scale production. Students will receive then notes from Natalie, which they'll have the opportunity to implement during a repeat performance of their respective scenes. An end-of-day Q&A with Natalie is also included in this workshop, and students get to keep all materials distributed to them, i.e. instructional pamphlets, a 'tips and tricks' sheet, script pages, and more.
*Suggested Flat Fee: $750 + travel
